COVID-19: Stamp Duty Holiday Extended

By Mark Grantham –  3rd March 2021

HM Treasury announced in todays Budget: “A tapered extension of the stamp duty holiday until 30 September, helping more people to purchase their homes before the deadline and supporting jobs.”

The end of March deadline has been extended. Now buyers won’t have to pay stamp duty on properties valued up to £500,000 until the end of June. And the exemption continues until the end of September for properties valued up to £250,000.
